One website shows that VC catagory has a 68 ft balcony, vs 47 ft on VB and VA. Can anyone verify if this is true....or not??

The VC's that show "available" (near bow) have steel balcony sides instead of plexiglass. Is this a hugely negative thing? I suffer a bit from vertigo and thought maybe I would be more at ease with the solid railing?? On the other hand, I would hope to be able to see over it when sitting in my chair on the verandah. Otherwise, what's the point, right?

I apologize if this seems like a nit-picky question. We travel frequently, but this is our first cruise in over 15 years. Due to some health problems, our land adventures might taper down in the future. I want this to be a great cruise experience, so my husband will want to go more frequently!

MY guess is that if the rail is steel you won't be able to see the sea from your chair. The joy of a balcony is the visual delight of a beautiful view of the sea. I don't think you'll get that with a steel rail as opposed to a clear plexiglass one. I personally wouldn't want that balcony...

Barbara - we had a BC guarantee for next week and got a B so I am thrilled, there are only 4 of the BCs/VCs on the ship and not only do they have solid steel they also have no tub so those really seem to be the worst on the ship. I didn't realize they had a bigger balcony though, that is interesting.
