Read an old posting that it was scheduled this week and then another poster said they heard on the news she was in drydock. With all the news about the Ryndam's delivery this week - nothing mentioned about the Oosterdam?
Anyone hear anything ?

The Port Everglades Daily Harbormaster's Report shows the Oosterdam still at Pier 26 and not due to sail until the 24th. My guess is that they are doing a wetdock this week.

Just off the Oosterdam on Sunday, 10/17. She is in wet dock for six days of maintenance.

I'm hoping for the new mattresses and the flat screen tvs just in time for my November voyage.

Certainly could vote for new mattresses.....the mattress in our SS was a bit on the hard side. Flat screen TV would be nice because it would take up less room. Did they ever get the railings cleaned up? One of the things that really surprised me on the Odam in March was the condition of the wood. I'd never seen a HAL ship with the wood in such poor shape. It was especially surprising since she was so new.

The new mattresses were to be installed this past week in wetdock. Frankly, we thought the mattresses in our AA cabin were just fine but we do like them firm. Never saw any evidence of poor railings - anything that required varnishing was in constant state of upkeep. Don't know about new TVs.

That's great Paint. In March they were obviously having a problem. There was hardly a fully varnished railing on the ship.....looked like a bad skin condition. I kind of got the impression that they had either gotten way behind or they were just then starting to revarnish the railings for the first time since she'd be put in service.

Sailing on the "O" 10/31. Heard she was in port last week and drove by to possibly take some pictures. Was not allowed into the port which is pretty much what I expected but since I was in the neighborhood..................
Glad to see security was doing their job! :)
