What tour did you take of the Rain Forest in San Juan? DO you feel it was worth it? We have a tour booked thru a private company. Great Pics!

Nancy went on the hike in the rainforest-she really liked it but said they gave them a bag of chips for a snack and she was gone from the ship for over 5 hours and was really hungry. Other then that she really liked the tour, and loved the tour guide. So if you go-take a snack-

What a great show! I loved the music and editing. Well done. We are in the middle of a snow storm. The difference between the colors of the caribbean and the winter wonderland outside our window is shocking. We can't wait to board the Eurodam in April. Thanks!

I live near Pittsburgh and came back to snow and ice and grey skies. I wish I could go back on the Eurodam until this terrible winter was over-and maybe even longer!!!!!!!
We were in room 6057-we had a verandah suite-our ta upgraded us a week before the cruise-it was awesome!
We had ayw dining-had no choice. We never made any reservations for the regular dining room, and went to dinner between 6 and 7 every night-we never had to wait-in fact, I thought it was kind of weird that there was always a line for the people who made reservations, and we always walked right in-even the nights we asked for a table for 2-however-i do have to say the table for 2 was always pretty close to other tables, AND we met some interesting people when we sat at larger tables. Sometimes, though, you aren't in the mood to make small talk.
We never had any problem in the Neptune lounge-no bathing suits or seaty clothes when we were there. And the cocktail parties were great fun. The women who worked in the lounge were friendly and helpful with everything-we never had to go to the front desk for anything. I made the mistake of booking an early return flight to Pittsburgh, and the person working in the lounge got us expediated deparkation, and we were at the airport by 8am-plenty of time to catch out flight-she also printed boarding passes for us. We tipped both women working there-they so deserved it!!!
I want to mention as well that the superbowl playoff and the presidential inaugeration were scheduled events on the ship!!!!
This cruise rocked!!!!
i will be happy to answer any other questions that anyone has!

That's a very good point to make! I was on the Eurodam on Nov. 4 (election night) and they did a great job in the Queen's Lounge with a wonderful watch party...complete with an American flag decorated cake. For all of you traveling on Super Bowl Sunday, I can guaranteee there will be no problem watching the big game.

Awesome photos, and it looks like you two had a great trip!

We're booked for the same itinerary in March, and this makes me want to go NOW. It also reminds me that I need some summery cruise clothes instead of the winter stuff I'm living in these days!

(Which bar were you in for the bar photos? Looks like there was a party happening there every night. :) )

so sorry dj that you can't see the pictures-i had some problems when nancy first sent them to me...my husband figured out how to view them.
There were these cool (really cool) mixology classes in the Atrium bar-I think there were 3-I think the cost was $15 for each class, but they were a blast, and all the drinks were full sized (you got 3)
They also had a pub crawl on 2 nights-you get to go to 3 or 4 bars on the ship-and we always ended up in Northen lights where the dancing and dj were awesome! We had so much fun!!!!

Wow,
Nancy did a great job putting that together. It makes my heart almost ache to be on our way, we sail 2/14.
It looks like you two had such a fun time, can you let me know what you did in port? My head is simply swimming from looking at excursions offered and then reading posts here on CC at the various ports. I do not know what to do!?!
It looks like, from the pictures that there is a great beach right there on your Day 2 (is that Grand Turk?)
My DH is not as near of fond as cruising as I. He is doing this trip as a promise to me. He loves to be active at ALL times, unless there is a perfect beach to chill at...
My thoughts are, Grand Turk, perfect beach, I hope. San Juan, some type of history tour, shopping and great food. St. Thomas, a snorkel, but do not want a long boat ride.... HMC, perfect beach again... Oh I need help!
Your room looks so nice, we are yet to have a room assignment but I am encouraged at how great yours' and Nancy's was!
Thanks so much for sharing and any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi Judy
Still thinking of the Eurodam cruise last August seems like yesterday sometimes. Shane was the cruise director. He went on leave when we got to New York do not know if he was returning to the ship.
How is your summer treating you?
We have been OK but the humidity is building. Melbourne and Adelaide have been getting 40's for over 3 days now too ruddy hot.
Adelaide has not been under 33 over night that makes it even more uncomfortable for them.
Hope you are both going all right.
Cheers
Margaret and Greg

I only went on one excursion-that was the snorkel catamaran-the champayne one in st Thomas and we had a wonderful time-not too long, beautiful ride to snorkel site-the crew was terrific. Nancy took the rainforest hike in Puerto Rico-she loved it. If you aren't in the mood for hiking, they have another rainforest tour. I was on that before and it is wonderful-really really beautiful. I didn't go with Nancy because I stayed on board to watch the inaugeration. On Grand Turk there is a beach right off the ship-plenty of lounges to lie on, and there is a Margeritaville right there with a pool and bar/restaurant at your disposal-the only complaint I have is that the bottom of the ocean is very rocky and hard to walk-that wouldn't be because of the hurricane, would it? The water is crystal clear.
Grand Moon cay is gorgeous and the ocean is beautiful and clear-the sand on that beach is like silk-really-like silk! I have never felt anything like it!!! I think your husband will have a blast!!!
