Last minute questions

Hi there,

We are leaving for our first cruise with Azamara. Here are some last minute questions. Sorry if they were already asked before on this board, or if they are stupid...


is there a laundry service available on the ship . Can you drop off shirts and have them washed and ironed ? What is the price ?
is it possible to change money on the ship into chinese, south-Korean and Japanese money ? Do they accept euro on the ship or only dollar ?
How does the system of the specialty restaurants works ? Are they complimentary ? Do you have to tip seperately ? So yes, how much ?

Hi Kajo,

Laundry service is available and a price list is shown on their website: www.azamaracruises.com (search 'Laundry').

There is also a self-serve laundry room on board with 4 washers & dryers. (They provide laundry soap & there are two irons/boards in there as well.) It's on deck 7, across from 7076. Cost = $2. per machine (dryers were free when we were on board Quest in October, but I'm not sure that they still are.) You can get change at the Guest Reception desk in the lobby.

You can book the Specialty Restaurants on board - the maitre d' will be at the reception area of Aqualina when you board, which is a good time to head up there to choose your dates. Or, you can phone to book (the # will be in your cabin.) Captain's Club members can book in advance, from 60 days up to 10 days prior to the cruise. The meal is complimentary (other than alcohol) but there is a $5./pp gratuity charge, which they indicate is optional.

Not sure about currency exchange on board as we used ATM's in the countries that we visited.
