Does anyone know what shore excursions will be available - especially in Civitavechia or any private tours or anyone willing to share.

If you go to 'ports of call' on the Thomson cruises website, it lists all the ports and if you click on each one, it gives you the excursions and prices.
If you go to the 'Europe' part of this cruise critic website forum, it will give you advice on doing excursions independently.
