We're booked on the Insignia, December 17, So. America/Antartica cruise and time is clicking by. Isn't it about time we start chatting it up ?

Friends of mine recently returned from Hawaii, sailing on the Infinity. Their cabin was located directly below a deck with an outdoor restaurant resulting in quite a bit of noise from above. They were lucky enough to be moved to a like category a couple of decks down. (Yes, I guess it can happen!). That being said, I am wondering if the same condition exists for Insignia's PH category on Deck Eight? Are we going to hear everything from the Pool Deck, Terrace Cafe, Tapas and the Spa? Anybody have anything to share?

Less than sixty days to go and can't wait. See you then !

We're in Cabin 8047 - - looking forward to celebrating Christmas and New Years onboard. It appears that our cabin door opens directly into an elevator/stairwell lobby. We tried to get it moved to the other side of the trip because we thought that we would have better views of the land (not necessarily the ports - - you never know how they're going to dock) but we were told there were no more PH's available for our sailing on December 17th. Fortunately we have good friends on the Port Side so we'll be sharing balconies from side to side.

Really looking forward to this cruise !

The door does not open directly into the stairwell lobby. There was no noise off that stairwell when we sailed and had cabin 8044 directly opposite 8047 on our Regatta sailing. It was very quiet. I would not be concerned.

Thanks very much for this reassurance. At least we're close to the elevators and stairs. Counting the days
