Thanks for the great posting. It seems as if our cruise on the Veendam on Nov 20 will not be going to that port. Our TA called yesterday. They have extended the time we stay in Aruba and we are having three sea days in a row before coming back to Tampa. Lots of gambling, bingo and sun worshiping.

Ziggy, thanks for posting this link. I really do feel sorry for the residents of Grand Caymans. It really is such a beautiful paradise and to have such damage. I am sure every day must be a struggle. Then with loosing tourism which is the main income. Hopefully ships can start coming back to give their residents incomes very soon. I would guess when we go in March ships will be going there with no problems other than the tendering problem that they would have occasionally. but I am sure there will still be lots of signs that the Hurricane had been thru there.
I do have one question about the island I have not seen info on. When we were there in 2002 we went on an Island Tour and saw this really pretty house made of Conch Shell (correct me if I am wrong it could be another type of shell) Is this house still standing? I remember being told this house was built many years ago and had survived previous hurricanes.

Thanks for any info any one has.
