Just received our documents from TA - very excited. We're assigned to cabin 000. Does anyone know what deck this is?? Is it an inside or an outside cabin? Has anyone ever stayed in this cabin?? Does it come with bathrobes?

Seriously, we reserved a guanrantee K cabin. Some folks have suggested that people without cabin assignments check HAL's website in the weeks before sailing. Just where exactly on the site do you check 'cause I can't seem to find the right place??

I may be stuck on stupid - it was a long, tedious day at work - but I need some help, I guess. Thanks!

Doing the doc dance in Savannah!!

Oh I get cabin 000 everytime. It simply means that when your travel documents were prepared and sent, you had not been assigned a cabin yet. Not that you will be sleeping in one of the deck chairs. It also means you have a chance of an upgrade.

To check, go to the shore excursion site, enter your booking number information and eventually (generally a short time before sailing) you will see your cabin number in with the rest of your info,

Hope this helps.

The information header is "For Booked Guests" - then as lka1012 says, you can enter your booking number - if they've assigned you a cabin, it will show.

Oh, boy!

Regardless of location, your cabin will come with a daily newspaper digest, a daily schedule of numerous fun events, a place to change clothes, and close proximity to shows, movies, shops, bars, lounges, a library, an internet center, shops, a spa, pools, recreation facilities, places to nap while watching the waves go by, and all the food you can eat. :)

My wife and I are also "guarantee cabin" on the 12/11 as are another couple. So far we have heard nothing. At least you will be on the ship - somewhere??

Dear Melianne,

I'm sure that 000 means that you are in the penthouse suite (as we all wish!)

Actually, cactuslady and I are conjoined twins separated by distance. Our philosophy is exactly the same - you are on the ship - how bad can life be????? Life is what you make it. No matter where you are on the ship, it is better than what you left behind.

dakrewser - "Thank you!!!" Your humor and invaluable comments add insight into our forum. I have so enjoyed all your thoughts.

I was probably the only paying passenger on the maiden voyage of Carnival's Victory. My fortunate request was for a dining table of "10". At least half of them were TA's and the rest were cruise reporters - who were all given the cruise complimentary and all of the excursions desired, again complimentary. WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CRUISING!!! I was blocked into the bowels of the ship - the farthest possible from the dining room, and the farthest from anything known to man. Melianne, I want you to know that I had a wonderful time on that cruise from the worst room possible.

You will have a great time, if you will go in with the mindset that you WILL have a great time.

No cruise is perfect...........But it is still a whole lot better than real life.

I wish for you a wonderful escape from reality, and a relaxing rendevous with the one you love.

With Best Wishes,
THEDUCHESS

It is on one of the pax deck. It may be the only inside left to fill :D . It will be your cabin  . You will have fun :) . When you get to the ship have a drink of something wet (and maybe wild). Relax and enjoy. The ship is sailing with you.

Have fun in the sun

I agree with all of you that cabin is just a cabin - the cruise is what you make of it.

Our first cruise was aboard the old NCL Seaward (before updates) and we had a small outside cabin somewhere just above the water line that had a teeny porthole. We had an incredible time, met wonderful people, and we were hooked on cruising for life.

After that first trip we booked two verandah cabins. They were wonderful (especially the one on the Rhapsody), but the cabin isn't what made the memories. The places and people stay in your heart much longer than the cabin.

So I'm not worried about having cabin #000, just curious. It's always fun to go to the diagram of the ship and find your exact piece of 7-day real estate. The suspense will be building!

I always book category K when I want a cabin to myself when I sail with my group. Its a great category, so even if you are in that cabin category, not to worry, its great.

Jean, we'll do the doc dance together. 'Anyone else on Zaandam 12/11 received their docs?

Got docs, got fun!
