We have an SY Suite for an Alaskan cruise. Does that suite qualify for concierge services and Pinnacle Grille lunch? Any other suite privileges? If we qualify, how much is lunch and is it worth it? Seems everybody raves about the Lido. Thanks!

A SY suite does not provide you with access to the Neptune Lounge. No suite passengers get the Pinnacle for lunch but anyone on the ship can eat lunch there with reservations for the minimal cost. People with access to the Neptune are allowed to eat breakfast in the Pinnacle.

SY passengers do get a telephone concierge service which we used on our Noordam cruise last November. We were pleased with the service.

SY cabins are roomy and very nice. We would not hesitate staying in one again.

SY cabins are roomy and very nice. Indeed they are. The bathroom is worth the price of admission, IMO. Two sinks, separate shower, and lots of room.

Thank you! Guess I won't miss the Neptune Lounge since I've never heard of it. I also understand that the SY suites have bigger balconies than the typical balcony. Is that correct? Is it easier to get dinner reservations (we're on the open plan) using the concierge? Any other "tricks of the trade" you can give me? First cruise - glad we picked HAL.

We have sailed in an SA suite on the Amsterdam and in a SY on the Noordam and I believe that the SY is the best value of all suites. Very roomy, fantastic balcony, super bathroom with whirlpool bath, separate shower cubicle, double sink, etc....... We never missed the perks of the SA. I am sure that you will love it. Here are two pictures to wet your appetite. Have a great cruise.
