Cruisinetta sends this picture from the Noordam's Cruise Critic meet and greet (rollcall Noordam 2:22:2009). Many brought local gifts to exchange. They were also celebrating Fat Tuesday with Mardi Gras beads and having a ball. Of course, it is formal night!

Hello all from the Noordam. We had a glorious day at sea today. We had a CC private tour of the galley, then our Meet & Greet. Too many of us for that small area of the Crow's Nest, but we had a great time. Afterwards, we did a cabin crawl. The only type of cabin we didn't see was the Penthouse. GRRRRR. Our group is also entering 3 ships for the shipbuilding contest. That's fab!!!! Mine is coming along nicely. Sorry, no pics this time. I might send pics of the competition. Anyway, I'll update you as we go along. St Thomas tomorrow.

Once again, hello from the Noordam. We spent a gorgeous day in St Thomas. Guess what.....no immigration this morning. I slept until 10. Yayyyyy!!!! Saw many CCers around the ship. Lots of stories to tell about their excursions. My ship is coming along great. Built a new back to the ship. It now has real cabins, not drawn on ones. Looks pretty spiffy. Anyway, we are on our way to Dominica. I will go see if I can spot a whale or two, then go to Champagne Reef for a little snorkeling. The shipbuilding will be on hold tomorrow. Today we are in Dominica. I am doing the whale watching and Champagne Reef snorkel. If you love snorkeling, this is just fab!!! I really don't care about the whales, I just want to go back to Champagne Reef. Coolest snorkel excursion available. To answer one of the questions, I am doing HAL excursions. On another cruise to Dominica, there was a bunch of CCers, who did an independent excursion and loved it. Can't remember the guy's name but if you want I can find it for you. Dominica is my fave spot on this cruise. More later.

It takes some getting used to...just upload them to photobucket, then copy them over here. It's pretty easy once you get used to it.

Cruisinetta IM'd me last night and said they would be in Curacao today...On the trip that I met her, it was really HOT in Curacao in December. I am including a few pictures of mine from that trip. The Noordam was at the Mega pier that day, while the Zuidy was in the Channel. I captured this photo of the Noordam as we were sailing away from Curacao.

Hello from Curacao. It was a gorgeous day here. Found lots of little trinkets at all the little stands they have here. Many of the CC bunch went to the beaches today. I am happy to report all came back without a sunburn. Yippee!!! No pics today, sorry. The shipbuilding is finished except for the tenders and we all know why that is not done yet. Pool party tonight. Off to Aruba tomorrow. No new pics. Sorry bout that. Niters all!!

Holland, I will get that info for you and send it when I get home. We have one more day and it is going to be a good one. The sea trials are tomorrow for the shipbuilding contest. Thanks for posting and I love the pictures...especially the one with the whale. I'd love to see a whale in the Caribbean. So far, we have not.
