We are on the Westerdam Dec 18th sailing. Any suggestions for the Montego Bay stop as far as excursions. It's been 20 years since I was there and enjoyed Dunn's River Falls. Is it still as much fun. Sailing with my wife and 3 kids 16,15,11
Thanks

You must mean the 19th....On the 18th we will be at HMC on the Westerdam, and in Ft. Lauderdale on the 19th. As to Montego Bay......we were supposed to go there on the cruise of Dec. 5-12, but the ports have been changed. Maybe you want to check on that.

foxden .... You're making us feel real old! We took our youngest there about 20 years ago for the first time! When we returned a couple of years ago, it was basically the same.... Remember the "pushy vendors" at the top? There are even more now! No real problem! Your children are at the perfect age to do Dunn's River Falls.
If you haven't already, you would probably enjoy going to the Ports of Call Section and checking under Jamaica ... lots of good info there. It's a part of CC so you can ask questions there as well.
Have FUN planning! Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)

Just checked and it's still Montego Bay for the Dec. 19th cruise.
Ocruisers - I laughed when you said you took your youngest to Dunn Rivers Falls 20 years ago. So did we! :D Sure does make one feel old, doesn't it. She must have been about 21 or 22 then.

Hop a cab and go to Margaritaville in Montego Bay. You can enjoy a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and the kids can go down the water slide for an hour or so.

Lots of different tours to Dunn's River Falls. It is fun. We ignore the vendors and once talked to each other in (very poor) Italian just to keep the vendors away.

Montego Bay has a special place in my heart as that is where I met my husband 37 years ago. He was in the Navy and I was on vacation. I hear it is not the greatest stop anymore. We will definitely go back one day just to reminisce. Would love to hear your opinion of it when you return.

and I think I am going to Sunset Beach Resort. It is $20 for the day and all inclusive. There is info on the Ports of Call board.

I was at Montego Bay in 1996 and I can remember the Vendors shouting out "Welcome K-Mart Shoppers." They were pushy.
