What do most women wear for formal night, long or short dresses. I have only sailed north american cruise ships so need some help.

What do most women wear for formal night, long or short dresses. I have only sailed north american cruise ships so need some help.
Never been on Bouddica, but have been on Balmoral. Fred Olsen is pretty formal, and the majority of ladies wear long dresses; I would say that formal nights were on a par with Cunard.

Thank you. That is what I thought. This is only the second cruise since my husband passed away. Last time I went with my daughter and her husband this time with my brother and sister in law.
