Acording (spelling ? ) to newspapers here there was windgusts as strong as 180km/h at that time. We saw her arrive and was surprised this morning reading in the paper that it took almost 2 and a half hours to dock. But that was probably also because of the wind.
We hope the elderly man recovers and get well soon.

I will be sailing that ship in may. We will dock in Majorque. Let's hope the wind will be in vacation at that time.

Seems to me it could have been much worse. Props to the crew for their quick reaction.

Scary video! Remembering how there were fatalities when the QM2's gangway collapsed, this was one very lucky passenger!

Maybe boarding should be prohibited above certain wind forces....

Alternatively, could the ship's thrusters be used to hold the ship tight to the dock, relieving the strain on the lines?
