The best way to find an answer to your question is to look through the posts on this board. Since the port has reopened following the hurricane, members have been posting their experiences with various tours and beach visits.

Good luck with your research.

Take a taxi into town. All along the Malacon is beach clubs. Lots of shade and chairs. There are a number of beach clubs along the walkway you can buy an all-inclusive or pay as you go. There are several places to rent jet skies, get boat rides etc. We were there the last week in Feb. Jet skis were $25 per 1/2 hour. If you wanted longer they would deal. Massages range from $20 hour and up. Just check with the differn't vendors and bargain. Shopping is not as good as other ports. It will get better with time.

We took a cab to Hotel Maya Luna and loved it! The food there was awesome, and so was the bar and beach! Prices are very reasonable and it isn't the least bit crowded. Check out their website...hotelmayaluna.com

I would have to agree completely. They had no kids toys that we were awre of but they did have a volley ball net set up so here was a ball ! They also had a Kayak. There is no cover charge if you eat lunch with them. Very reasonable prices but more importantly great food(especially the stuffed pineapple), peace and quiet.
