Saba for a daytrip ?

Has anyone used the St.Maarten port call to fly or ferry over to Saba for the day? Diving aside, what did you do and what would you like to do again?

I went to Saba once on a tall ship, and there's really not much there. Nice beaches, but pretty deserted...no amenities or facilities. We spent the day at a beach and lunch was launched into shore. Did the same thing in Barbuda.
