After reading many reviews on website didn't quite know what to expect especially after forking out and booking premium economy seats and a suite. The flight was brilliant (Thomsonfly from Birmingham). So glad we booked premium - well worth the money. Also was pleased with the suite. Having the extra space and balcony was wonderful especially on sea days when you come to realise just how may passengers there are on board! We took an extra 3 way plug which you definately need as there is only 1 socket in the cabin. I also took my own washing powder and doing laundry (did it twice) was no bother - there was never anyone in the laundry - it's air conditioned too. £3 for a wash and £2 for the drier - well worth it as you don't have to pack so much. I found the trips expensive. I had booked loads before the trip because I didn't know any better. After the first one (which was good I might add - island trip around Tobago) I cancelled the rest (except swimming with Dolphins in Margarita) and we did our own thing. There are plenty of people you can share with and the taxis available at the dock are plentiful and good value and not to be frightened of. The thought of going off on our own was pretty daunting to begin with but I was worrying for nothing. We thought the food on the whole was very good preferring to eat at the waterfront rather than plantation because it was quieter for some reason. We ate at La Luna a few times which was nice but gave the Bistro a miss even though they kept giving us extra discount (£12 instead of £15 per head). All the staff are brilliant and pleased to help, are courteous and polite and all work extremely hard especially the young lad who cleaned our cabin - we left him a good tip. The entertainment was so so. The tribute acts were pretty good especially Simply Mick but then I'm a big Simply Red fan! The drinks I think could be cheaper and I thought the Bingo at £5 a square or 3 squares for £10 was really over priced. Getting a sun bed can border on ridiculous and impossible on sea days. OV2 definately need to do something about those inconsiderate people who get up at the crack of dawn to put their towels on beds and then aren't seen until lunchtime.
I found the duty free perfume on board was the cheapest anywhere which was a surprise and also the cigarettes which every now and then they had at 15% off the duty free price - £16 for 200 Marlborough.
