Hello All, haven't been around for a while, but back into the cruising mode. My husband and I are going on the Zuiderdam Panama cruise next week and we just got our cabin assignment, which is at the back of the ship, a verandah. Can anyone tell me if there will be a lot of engine noise. When we booked we got a VE guarantee. Thanks

We had an aft cabin on the Westerdam last spring and had no problems with noise or vibrations. No worries--Have a WONDERFUL time!!

If given the choice, I'd take a stern cabin anytime over cabins situated on the sides of the ship. The view of the wake, lack of wind make it a wonderful location, IMHO.:)

Great location...we chose a stateroom on the stern last year and this year.

Are you on the 3/19/09 sailing of the Zuiderdam? If so, come join our Roll call!

We are in a VD toward the stern and absolutely love that location (3rd cruise 3rd Stern cabin)

always get an aft cabin...no noise or movement...Zuiderdam, Westerdam, Oosterdam. Enjoy! What level do you have?

The aft cabins are also our favorites. We are in a VA aft on the Oosterdam in May and we can't wait. You will love it!

We loved our VA aft on both the Noordam and the Eurodam. There's nothing as great as looking at the wake. Some vibration, but not enough to be of any concern. What deck are you on?

I had a Stern VA on the Zuiderdam before the re-build.
There was no problem with vibration.
And the View . . . . ! ! ! ! WOW :D

Thanks everyone, I'm much relieved to know that the stern is a good place to be. We are in VA5189 and look forward to this cruise. Yes we are on the 3/19 trip.
