My memory of the various restaurants aboard The World is that they were very expensive but I've heard comments lately that the pricing is very reasonable. Has the pricing been restructured or have the prices just not gone up in the last few years?

Does anyone have any pricing information for having a private chef cook a meal in your apartment?

AFAIK only owners pay for meals.

not sure about grocery or private chef.

I wouldn't be buying the meal plan - that is extremely expensive per person and not a good value at all. I just wonder if it reflects the actual menu prices in the various restaurants.

the meal plan is an additional cost on top of rental fee?

so they changed, and are no longer all-inclusive for rentals?

Right, we will not be getting the meal plan since we're staying in an Exclusive Resorts apartment.

doh. my memory must be going, thought an ER member on DC4MS said its all-inclusive for them too. i had figured it might be a part of the ER surcharge for the world.

if youre not an ER member (with access to their forums) you could also try asking here http://www.dc4ms.com

The surcharge covers the extraordinarily high maintenance fees, gratuities, port charges and housekeeping not meal plans. These apartments are far more expensive to maintain than the typical ER homes so there is an extra surcharge to help offset. No one seems to mind since the experience is so fabulous. No other DC's will be allowed to purchase units on The World but I would like to know if any of them have plans to buy into the Four Seasons or any of the others.

re DCs and  FS ship

1. prices
2. if it has rentals, the minimum will be at least a month, in part because of the complaints from owners on the world
