As the date of my cruise has been nearing I've been having this horrible feeling that perhaps it's not real, perhaps I'm dreaming.

I'm told that the Red Sox have won the world series and I'm now sure that none of this is real.:D

Marc, Trust me you are not dreaming. You will not wake and find that none of this has happened. Yes the Red Sox WON!!!! and you will soon be cruising on the Maasdam. You will be missed next week. Have fun!!!!!
I also will not be reporting from the Ryndam. Everyone will just have to wait till we get back unless I get so bored I can't stand to be away from the computer. NOT!!!!!

Seriously have a Great Cruise.

Seriously have a Great Cruise.Oh yeah, I'm supposed to believe the Red Sox won the world series. Next you'll tell me that the Patriots haven't lost in over a year.:D

Lisa, when next month do you leave? It's got to be exciting going on the ship so soon after it's relaunch. I appreciate the people who post from the ship. I'm too cheap to spend for the connection. Aside from which, if I got on this board during a cruise DW would definitely have me committed when we returned.

It always feels that way for me!

I will have a mental list running through my mind of everything I've done, haven't done, forgotten, packed, should have packed, should have left behind, emails I needed to send, a bill I forgot to pay, laundry I should have done, leftovers I forgot to throw away, people who we forgot to notify, newpaper I forgot to cancel, appointments I need to make, phone calls I didn't make, do we have the air tickets, have the credit cards, have the travelers checks, Euros, hotel confirmation, airport pick-up confirmation, passports, Excedrin, cruise docs, Immigration forms, shore excursion list, jackets, umbrella, etc. etc. etc.

DH can't stand it! I can't relax until we've been in the air for a few hours - my mind has been on auto pilot for the past week. It won't change til next Monday, 11/1/04 at about 10:00pm mountain time... :)

I thought I was ready to leave until I read your post.

Actually, since we have people staying at our house I don't have to worry about many of those things.

MarieMarie,

You also enjoy your cruise. Since the Maasdam and Horizon are two of only about four ships that leave from Norfolk I'd be anxious to hear how they compare.

In fact, if they had that repositioning cruise when I booked the Maasdam I might have been sailing with you on Sunday.

For Orcrone: Please take care of Maasdam - I'll be getting on as you are getting off!

And since I do not plan to go near a computer on my vacation, I'll have to read your comments when I get back. I'm betting we BOTH have a splendid time!

Laura Kerr - will look forward to your comments about Noordam's swan song and any adventures with Sonny's cast.

Now if only the Redskins get to the Super Bowl we'll know this is all a dream.

As for the Redskins getting to the Super Bowl. I'm sure it can happen. Professional football players make lots of money. They can all buy tickets.

That's too funny!!!!

Yes, the Red Sox did win, although I'm still having to tell myself that hourly. I feel like we should still be chanting "wait until next year"...but, now we're preparing a parade to celebrate in Boston!!

Have a fantastic cruise...We set sail on 11/7 on the Volendam..can't wait!! I'm sure we'll all be back on the boards after our cruises..the boards have been rather quiet of late..I'm sure it's because we've all be watching ball games and packing...no??

I'm still smiling...Love that quite!!!

May you enjoy calm seas and sunny skies!!

Wishing you all blue skies and calm seas. Hope you have wonderful cruise. Travel safely and we will look forward to your comments when you return.

I am really, really sorry if I forgot someone else who is sailing this weekend. It is definitely not intentional.....

But I'm a loyal Red Sox Fan and still exuberant today. I'm not really sure I am thinking totally straight. :)

Sonny's cast??? The 'Skins are bringing him back??? Hooray!!!!!
How cool would THAT be? I bet he can still outpass many of the q-backs today.
Now, if we can just recruit Larry Brown.. Pat Fischer.. Chris Hanburger... !!! :D

S7S .. Thank you for your good wishes...we are really looking forward to this cruise, and our first experince on a non-vista class ship!

I'm exhausted...all this baseball, late nights, etc., has taken it's toll. Morning rolls around all too early these past few weeks! Looking forward to getting a full nights sleep!!

Yes..my DH is an avid Football and Baseball fan, he's on cloud 9 that both the patriots and red sox are world champions in the same year!!
