I am busy at work watching the Live Web Cam of San Diegos Cruise Port Terminal and watching the Ryndam Embark Passengers and getting excited that 2 weeks from right now I will be aboard her. My question is what is the other ship in port? Is it just a port stop for them or are they actually embarking passengers for a cruise that is starting.

Normally the Sapphire Princess bridge cam would show the correct view, but for some reason it's showing an at-sea view (although the caption says her position is San Diego.)

Thanks, I never never been on Princess so I guess that is why I did not recognize. Now is she embarking passengers to start a new cruise or is this just a port stop?

Thanks Jim, Wow she is really a lot bigger than the Ryndam. Looks like we have to share the Cruise Port terminal with her whne we board in 2 weeks then. I did not realize any other cruise line left from San Diego. I knew Carnival left from Long Beach and RCL left from San Pedro. It looks like we get the better side of the Terminal Pier, this way I can keep watch on our balcony:D

Here's a link to the cruise ship schedule for San Diego. The Carnival Spirit is based here for the winter and does 8 night Mexican Riviera cruises. As you can see on the schedule San Diego is getting more action in the cruise ship market, which suits me just fine! I love driving by there when we have ships in port. Sometimes we take a bottle of wine down to one of the viewpoints and have happy hour watching the ships sail away into the sunset. :)

The list of ships in san diego does not show the Ryndam on 3/6/05 to Mexican Riverra/Sea of Cortes. I wonder why?

It looks like the list is incomplete for 2005. Not to worry :)

Laff,
Carnival Sprit, Celebrity Mercury, RCI Legend of the Seas are here a lot. As earlier stated, it looked like a Princess ship to me too.

Was by the terminal last weekend about noon with the Legend and Spirit there....YIKES the line for the Spirit was a mile long.....well maybe only a quarter mile....but glad I wasn't in line. It didn't look like the line for the Spirit was even moving when I walked back by about 1/2 hour later.

Hope it is only the Ryndam when we sail on the 13th.
