We were upgraded from a guarantee MM to C110 for our July 31st Alaska cruise which made me very happy. One question though - by looking at the deck plans it looks like the main show lounge is two decks down on the Promenade Deck and right below us on the Upper Promanade is the balcony over the other floor so I assume it is open down to the Promenade Deck. Do you think it will be noisy? Do they just have the two nightly shows in that lounge? Other than that it looks good because it is close to the elevators but not too close. Any comments????

At night that lounge is only used for the shows, and sometimes some activity between shows. The last show is either 9:00 or 10:00---depending on the schedule on that ship---and lasts about an hour. There should be no noise from the show lounge after that.
Once per cruise there is a crew show, though, and it's typically held about 11:00 or 11:15, and lasts an hour. You may hear something that night (unless you go to the show! :)).

There may be some noise coming from the show lounge during the day when rehearsals are held. Since you'll be in Alaska, you probably won't be inside napping then.

You got yourself a nice upgrade there. Congratulations! And you got it on one of my favorite ships. I love the S-class ships, and had the best cruise of my life on the Ryndam.
Have a great time in The Great Land.

That should be fine then. We won't be sleeping during the day and I'm hoping it won't be too loud even with the show going on at night - we'll just have to wait and see. Really looking forward to this cruise! First time on HAL - only been on one other one - Princess to Mexico four years ago.

Hmmm, had a hard time finding that cabin on the deck plans. I happened to be looking at the post refurb deck plans, lol. That cabin is scheduled to have a balcony added during that refurb.
