Got to see our friends off today.
Took some pix and would love to answer any locale specific querys.
Maasdam is a lovely vessel. I can see (just superficially) why anyone would become infatuated.

Thanks cdrmark . We're coming down Jan 15 for our cruise, arriving around 11:00 am. Can't check in to Marriott Waterside till 4:00 pm. Anything to do while we wait to get checked in ? How far is cruise terminal from marriott ? Hopefully Marriott will accept our luggage early so we don't have to lug it around all day... Thanks, Charlie

Maasdam is such a beautiful ship IMO We are eagerly awaiting boarding her again in June for b-to-b Canada/New England cruises.

Were you able to board Maasdam today to view her?

Unfortunately visitors were not allowed. Watched embarkation and departure. They had a lovely day for sail-away.
Charlie: Marriot is within easy walking distance of the pier. You could take a harbor tour or just walk around the waterfront. Very scenic.

Thanks CDRMARK nice pics. It will be nice to have something close by to visit { nauticus} in Tampa ,nothing much to see.... couldn't even find a pay phone to use! You've wet my appetite.
