Perhaps the dumbest question asked on this board

I am booked for the May 9th sailing of the Amsterdam to Alaska. My question is: Does this ship have an indoor heated pool for swimming during the Alaska season? I cannot tell by looking at the ship pictures on HAL's website if there is a glass ceiling that closes. Should we carry our swimsuits?

Not quite the dumbest... ;)

The Amsterdam has a midship pool that has a roof that can open and close. Take your bathing suits. In September we used the open pool and got a sun tan.

That's certainly not a dumb question and, despite what people say, there most certainly are dumb questions.

Wait till disembarkation day when the CD reads them off.

But on this board: No, I have never seen a dumb question. All of us have been new to cruising and to the ships at one time and needed the basic information.

In my opinion, you most certainly can refer to it as a "boat," because the tv series was not "The Love Ship."

Neither Amsterdam pool is heated except by the sun. :) There are hot tubs, however.
