I'm sailing on the Veendam tomorrow!!! Not sure where we're going - the itinerary has changed twice due to hurricane damage and supposedly has reverted to the original Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cozumel. I chose this cruise for the three sea days so I hope that is the one!

Tomorrow evening we'll be having a martini in the Ocean Bar then dining in the Pinnacle - sorry to rub it in...

We'll be up in the front lounge as we pass under the sunshine skyway bridge at about 7:00 tomorrow night. Sorry to hear our trip was changed back to the original plan, was looking forward to some new ports.

Newcruisers04 what did your documents say about the number of formal, informal and casual nights on page 3? Mine said 7 casual but after I posted and several people told me to check with HAL and HAL said, reluctantly or maybe the customer service rep was bored, that there were 3, 2 and 2 respectively. My TA said 2,1,4 respectively. :cool:

I am sorry...forgot how to find the part on here where my posts were..hahaha! I did go and check our ticket book...on page 3 it does say 7 informal nights...or maybe casual...since we booked online, I never thought to go and check with ************* agent as to whether we have any formal nights or not..just assumed there was a couple. Partner is taking a suit and a couple dress shirts and i have one long black dress, and also a long skirt and some fancy tops...so we are good to go I think. We are getting so excited and can't think straight re the shore excursions. Was entertaining the thought of a sunset cruise combo after a afternoon of snorkelling/scuba diving with a private operator..but not sure if we can talk the rest of the family into it. Since this is a surprise "attendance" by them for my birthday..kinda hard for me to book it eh? Oh well..next choice is looking like day at Paradise Beach. What tours are you doing?

I only booked the cave and river tubing in Belize and did that with a non HAL company. Expect to just walk around Key West, maybe snorkel in Cozomel, and not decided for Guatamala. Will do something in Santo Thomas but undecided now. That is if HAL doesn't change the itinerary again.

I am going to call HAL again about the dress code and will post if it is changed.

I just returned from the Veendam (11/6-11/13) While on board one of the officers was telling us that the cruise leaving the 13th was going to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, & Jamiaca.
