I am new to this board, and am thinking of going on HAL once again. We like the amenities for the Deluxe Suites, and somehwere I read about a package that can be purchased to enhance regular venandah suites.

I looked over on the main website for HAL but could not find any listing and prices of the enhanced packages. Anyone know where I can find listings?

Just trying to figure out what ship, etc. to book.

It has been a number of years since we sailed HAL.

thanks Krazy Kruizers, somehow I thought there were two different packages, one that allowed admission to the Neptune club and a few more perks? I think it was Elite or Superior?

I still wish they would publish this on their web site.

Is the price per cabin or per person?

There is no Neptune Club.

It is the Neptune Lounge and there is no pachage that will allow anyone who is not booked in an PS, SA, SB, or SC Delux suite usage of this Lounge.

By the way -- it is not a cocktail lounge -- just a place where the above listed cabins can get a continental breakfast and snacks and appetizers throughout the day.

Hi, Grace:
Can't answer your question, but we sailed with you on the 4Cs Constellation transatlantic. We are Richard and Jennie and are sailing in 2-1/2 weeks on the Zaandam r/t Hawaii San Diego return Vancouver. We only sailed HAL once years agos and are looking forward to the experience. It seems strange not sailing with Celebrity, but we'll do that in October on the Canada/New England cruise. So nice to see your name again.
Our best to you
Jennie

Hi Jennie...of course I remember you! Since the 3C's voyage we have been on the Summit Panama Canal, the Connie to New England/Canada, the Connie b2b in the Carib. and the Infinity on the Alaska repo. (also went on MSC, but do not recommend it, not my cup'o tea)
It is time to try something else, and I think Holland America fits us fine. We have not decided yet which ship or voyage, but the Maasdam from Montreal sounds good, as well as an Alaska trip, both in late summer, early fall. I am paying close attention to departure ports, as our stamina for air travel is pretty low! We love Seattle and Vancouver for departures, and finding easy air non stops is important.
So, now I am having fun exploring all the HAL ships and voyages.

Good to hear from you.....

Gracecarmo, LMHSRN refers to the "suite amenities" package that people who are NOT in a deluxe verandah suite can purchase, to give then perks something like a suite. This doesn't allow them access to the Neptune Lounge, one of the nicest suite perks.

People who ARE in a deluxe verandah suite can purchase the "suite elite" package. Prices vary by cruise length, but there's been some discussion on this board the price is too hefty for the perks, and passengers might be better to buy the ones they're interested in "a la carte". Here's that thread:

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=917381

You will find reference to both the "suite amenities package" and the "suite elite package" if you go to the "onboard gifts" section of the HAL website.

http://www.hollandamerica.com/cruise-vacation-planning/OnboardGifts.action

Look at the bottom of the page, and click on "printable gift order form" - packages are listed in the third column, near the bottom.

Personally, I think the perks that come with the "S" or "SC, SB, SA" suites are more than enough to keep me happy. :) (Letter designations depend on the ship. Please note: SZ, SY, and SS are superior suites, not deluxe suites, and are NOT the ones with access to the Neptune Lounge.)

Thanks to all for this "suite amenities" packages. I will go over to the HAL web site and print them out. This is just what I was looking for.

I can tell you for our upcoming Eurodam cruise it was $677 and included 3 pinnacle dinners for 18 nights. I posted all the prices recently with the supervisors permission. The thread is "Who do I call at HAL?" if you want to see prices before ship services opens on Monday. I am not a competent thread finder but I have the email from ship services with the list of sailing lengths in my email if you want that. I think it was a great value package for sailings longer than ours.

No problem. I recently learned how to cut and paste, so an opportunity to practice is a good thing for me. :)
