I am booked on 4 day Cruise on Eurodam on July 6th - is there anyone else on that cruise that knows which day will be the formal day ?
I would like to book for the Pinnacle Grill - does anyone know if this can be doen prior to boarding - cannot find anything on the website to do it.
Last question - there are no tours available for the Cherbourg stop - does anyone know if there are any planned ?
Never been with HAL before, and this is all information I would have been able to find out before a cruise normally - I am in the UK and have found the admin office have not been able to help with any of these questions.

Hi bee-ess,
There is a thread for this cruise on roll calls..and you're asking the same questions as the rest of us. There is definitely 1 formal night, but HAL won't yet say which..and it appears no tours for Cherbourg, but some people are organising their own. Like you we've never sailed with HAL before, but it looks good, doesn't it??
I expect someone will organise a meet onbaord ship, which is always fun.

Hi.....I just returned from a cruise on the Eurodam. We loved it!!!! Our formal nights were our sea days, if you have one of those I would think that would be it. We didn't eat at the Pinnacle Grill but only heard good things from those who did.

You can book the Pinnacle on the HAL site at For Booked Guests > Order Onboard Gifts. You will need to set up a username and password. If you were in the US you could also phone Ship Services on a toll-free number, but in your case, if you have a question or problem booking on-line I would suggest you email hal_ship_services@hollandamerica.com (There's an underscore before and after 'ship')
I suggest you try the Tamarind. We liked that better than any Pinnacle Grill. If you try to book that on-line, it's not as obvious as booking the PG. Under Order Onboard Gifts you have to go to the Variety section.
Since you leave Cherbourg very late and St Peter Port is the night before you debark, I would guess that your formal night - if you even have one - will be Zeebrugge, July 7. We did not have a formal night on our 3-day cruise last October.
I hope you enjoy the Eurodam!

I looked at your schedule -- it is really part of a 10 and 12 day cruise.
Four days -- just might be a formal night on the 7th.
