View Full Version : How soon do you online check in?

I don't leave until June 8th, but I wonder if there is something wrong with doing the online check in this early?

I always check in and print my boarding passes as soon as they allow. But that's just me! ;)

Do it now. If you do not have all the information, say flights, fill that data in latter on. No reason to wait.

I've always waited until my documents come in. That way I have that pretty blue pouch waiting for the printed boarding pass.

I don't know when I'll do it when e-docs are fully implemented. :(

I don't know when I'll do it when e-docs are fully implemented. :( Since you have a collection of pouches, you can choose one and load it whenever you're ready!

It's the timing though, Jim. The timing.
The arrival of the documents signaled the start of the final approach to the cruise. With that gone it won't be the same.

Dear all

I just did my one yesterday – for my cruise in mid September….

But I could not do all of it yet, because you can only proceed to step 3 – the boarding pass - one’s you did the "final payment"……:mad:

And this is for our cruise only end of July.

We cruise on June 5th and I have already done our online check in. I always like to do the online check in as soon as possible.

It is my understanding that you can not complete all the information and print until final payment is made.

I've done my online check-in. However, I did not notice luggage tags to print out (NCL has this option). Did I miss it on the website or will that information be mailed to me?

I didn't use a TA for my upcoming Alaska cruise and just used an online agent and booked it myself.

Can not do luggage tags on line -- HAL so far hasn't set up a way for us to print them out.

Not entirely correct ... you can complete all the information on the checkin and immigration forms before final payment, but you are not able to print the Express Boarding Pass til final payment has been made. Printing the boarding pass is the only item that must wait til final monies are paid.
