View Full Version : Two Years of Bon Voyages - My, how time flies!

Gosh, I just realized yesterday (April 12) was the 2 year anniversary of when I started doing the Cruising CCer's List and the Bon Voyages. It hardly seems possible - time just can't pass that quickly.
It's been a lot of fun, and I appreciate being a part of this community. I especially appreciate those of you whom I've had to privilege to meet in person - and I look forward to meeting more of you as time goes on. CCer's really ARE a special bunch of people!
(maybe now I can start to think of the list as something besides "Ziggy's List" - LOL!)

Thanks for all you do, Donna! I appreciate your kind words regarding the tornadoes we went through on Good Friday. We are VERY lucky to have only sustained roof damage (due to hail, not the wind). And yes, being on a cruise while the shingles get replaced will be wonderful! :)

What a wonderful service you provide. Not only seeing our names but to be able track other cruise friends bookings is so nice. Thank you.

Donna I just want to say Thank You!!!!! :) I thank you for your time and dedication because I truly know myself;) I also understand about being shocked how fast time has flown by. :DI have been doing the web cam waves for over 4 year and it has now been 3 years for the Where's the Fleet.
But I am sure for you like it is for me it in many ways is a passion/love of cruising and a giving back to CC and HAL. :)

It's fabulous you do this for us and I'm sure everyone appreciates it. Hard to believe it is already two years.
Speak of Ziggy....... anyone ever hear from her? Hope all is well with her.

Thanks, Lisa. Good to hear she's fine.
:) Now that I joined the rest of the world on Facebook, maybe I can update on folks I've wondered about. ;)

Donna,
Thank you so much for taking the time to doing the list for all of us! It's nice to know where all the HAL CCer's are going to be and when they are cruising. I also appreciate all the help you gave me when I was trying to figure out my first HAL cruise (and the second one). I was confused about a lot of things, but you stepped up and offered me lots of help! Thanks. :)

Oh Grandma Pajama
Is really a saint;
She always is willing,
And never says "cain't".
She's cheerful and thoughtful
She thoroughly kind;
A more gracious lady
You never will find.
Though dress codes and tray threads
May drive you insane,
A "Bon Voyage" thread
Will help you regain
A sense of proportion,
And help you to know
A smile is the best thing
To pack when you go.

Thanks, but I'm a technical klutz. I think KK has done a great job filling in for GmaPajama. TomC, too.:) So, thanks, guys and gals!
ps I see we have another poet laureate (Kakalina) who just posted above ;-)

Wow - thanks for all your kind words. I wasn't looking for that ... just thinking about what a neat part of my life Cruise Critic has become. I was also remembering all the work KK put into making sense of the original list - Ziggy had been unable to keep it up for several months, and I'd have never sorted it all out without KK's help. And TomC? He totally cracked me up the first time he covered the Bon Voyages!
Lisa - look at ALL the time you've put into your own two projects here. You were devoted way back before we'd even considered sailing HAL. I also see we have several more poets among us - good job Karin and kakalina!
Truly, you folks are great - not a day goes by that I don't think of someone here.

Oh Donna -- I had completely forgotten about that big mess when Ziggy left to do other things.
The job got done.

Thank you Donna for all your hard work. It was neat to look for my name when I left on a cruise.
Thank you also Lisa for doing your web cam waves and where the ships are. It's always nice to see that.
