Emabarkation was flawless on the ship in 10 minutes using the online immigration forms.

Our inside Cabin was very nice. We booked the "Guarantee" and got lower promonode center of the ship, great location.

Our room steward I have to say was very slow cleaning the rooms ,even after putting out the make up the room indicator it took usually 2-3 hours. The room was always clean WHEN he actually did it. Probabaly the slowest service on any line of the room stewards we have encountered.

The food was very good . We had early seating 5:45 Pm had a table of six but only four showed for the entire cruise. No complaints on food from our group .

Entertainment I thought overall was very good. Especially a pair of folks called "LIVEWIRE". Also A juggler/comedian Barnaby was good and the Ryndam cast and Cherl Sinclair were all worth seeing. The only one who was AWFUL was someone named Joe mulligan. His act was pretty sad and many folks got up and left.

The ports of call... We always enjoy the Cabo area and liked Loreto, and La paz as well. Topolobompo was in my opinion a waste of time . Matzalan was way too crowded EVERYWHERE as it was Good Friday and it must be like madi gras or 4th of July to the locals as the beaches were packed. Stone Island looked like Miami beach X 5 . Wall to wall people. Puerto Vallarta is always a nice spot with lots to do.

Overall a good trip. Not use to so many folks aboard with an average age of 65+ so night activities and pool activities on sea days were fairly quiet. Met some nice folks however...but we prefer a slightly younger more lively crowd as we are in our fifties. Not necessarily Carnival ,more like Rccl or Norwegian...

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them while my memory is fresh... Spanky

Although I have sailed on 2 of her sister ships of the same class (Veendam and Maasdam)I dont know if the spa facilities were modified during the 2004 upgrades.
Are the facilities now joined making them coed ? What are the charges to use the spa facilities?
Thanks
Tom

We did not use the spa. The prices varied from day to day and they ran specials with different options as each day they handed out a leaflet. Sorry ,but others on the cruise might be able to answer your question better than me on this topic.......

I agree with Spanky My. We had a wonderful trip.

A few of my observations.
Cabin steward we had on the Verandah Deck did a good job except he did not keep the ICE filled. Had to ask several times.

Can not comment on Topolobampo as it was dark out side during the bus ride to the train station and back.

I felt the Copper Canyon trip was very good. I was willing to pay the original price. Then when they gave us a refund and lowered the price was very pleased. The train ride was spectacular. The view from the top was very good.

Not like the Grand Canyon seeing 13 miles across and a mile down however.

With more time to explore think that it would be a very enjoyable place to visit for several days.
