I want to order my husband a bottle of Vodka for the cruise. I have a feeling I should order 2! If I order 2 and we don't drink it, can we bring the unopened bottle off the boat with us? If I only order 1 but need a second one, can i order it once on board? Will the price be the same?

I had a similar question and called the shipboard services number and asked.

The alcohol ordered will be delivered to yuur cabin on embarkation, may even be there before you board the ship.

Anything unused can be taken offship when you disembark, however you will need to declare it to customs, which is no problem.

You can order additional alcohol through room service at a similar rate. (Should be the same but rates can chance)

As stated above. If you think you may need to take a partial bottle off the ship at the end of your cruise bring some bubble wrap and a few ziplock plastic bags in case anything breaks.

When we've gone to our cabin our liquor was already there.

I like to bring leakproof good quality plastic bottles with me in case I have any leftovers to bring home. I just bury them inside the clothes in my suitcase. Container Store sells various sizes and they have served me very well.

I am on the Westerdam in Nov. Maybe I'm missing something but how did you find the order sheet for these wine and alcohol purchases? Can you order on line?? I didn't find it on the on line check in.

You can order online by going to the HAL website and click on the "for Booked Guests" tab.

Click on "onboard gifts". At the bottom of the onboard gifts screen click on "onboard gifts" again. This should take you a page where you'll need to login.

Once you're logged in you can enter yourself as a gift recipient. You need to enter your name, date sailing, ship, & booking number. Then you can choose gifts & make restaurant reservations for yourself.

Hope this helps.:)

You could also take him the the store carrying liquor and let him pick it out and tell them t is for cabin use. The will take on a surcharge and then deliver it to the room that day

If ou are traveling by air going home it can cause a problem with bottles. You cannot put them in your carryons. If you are driving we have purchased as much as 4 cases of liquor and declared them when leaving the ship. The duty is base on alcohol content so the duty on liquors like Baileys is insignificant...
