We just returned from a week on Explorer of the Seas and loved the Concierge Lounge. We are in an S suite on Oosterdam in January and wondering if anyone can give a brief comparison with Neptune Lounges.
The Concierge Lounge had fresh fruit, cheese, salmon, pastries etc in the morning along with a cappucino and expresso machine.
In the evening they had hot appetizers and an open bar from 5:00 to 8:30.
Does the Neptune Lounge offer the same or close?

I found the lounge on The Radiance of the Sea to be at least half as big as the Amsterdam. I took a tour of The "O" and it looks abit bigger than the Amsterdam. About the same but no booze on HAL lounge. In the Hal loung there was something to eat all day long. I do not remember when they close at night. Hope this helps.. We are going on The Oosterdam 29 Jan 05.:)

The Neptune lounge offers a nice display of b/fast fare in the mornings, fruit and pastries and finger sandwiches in the afternoon, and cold Hors D`oevres in the evening along with an espresso/cappuchino machine and juices. There is no bar for alcoholic drinks except on the nights when there are parties for suite pax. The concierge is there to attend to anything you would normally do at the pursers office and arrange for hot Hors D`oevres or afternoon tea served in your cabin....jean

I think the Neptune closes around 8 pm.

Don't forget the cookies! Neptune lounge has lovely cookies. Also a selection of books, magazines, games, and TV (at least on the Statendam).

Hi,

Is there a charge for the books, magazines and movies or do you just "rent" them?

Thanks:confused:

No charge on anything.
