View Full Version : Prinsendam - Club HAL????

Hi all,
In looking at the deck plans for the Prinsendam, I could not find Club HAL. HAL's website does indicate that they have Club HAL available on the Prinsendam for ages 5-17. Does anyone know where Cub HAL is, and if so, does anyone have any experience with it? Thank you all for your help.

Prinsendam is the only HAL ship which does not have a dedicated space for kids called "Club HAL". They will offer an organized program for any children onboard, ages 5-17, using a public meeting room such as the Half Moon Room, but due to her smaller size and exotic, longer itineraries, Prinsendam is the least youth-oriented ship in the entire fleet. I'm sorry, but I have no first-hand, personal experience with the youth program on Prinsendam.

There is a public meeting room on the lowest passenger deck forward that is used for Club HAL when there are kids on board. When we were on the Prinsendam there were no kids and the room was used for crew training during the day. Since it was near our cabin, we used it to play bridge before dinner each night. There are a number of computer monitors and a large server stored there so the kids can play video games.

There was not a Club Hal .. but there was an organized activity with a crew person handling the very few that we saw. The poor kids seemed very bored.

Hi Geoff,
I've been "lurking" on HAL's board since we don't have any HAL trips until 2010. I was just getting information of Holiday sailings. I would love to leave from NY, but the options are horrible. I see you are going on the Zuiderdam, somehow that did not show up as an option when I was searching HAL's web site, but have since found it. Now you have me researching your Holiday sailing, which sounds great. I can't find any information on air, since we prefer to fly Jet Blue and they don't have the prices for December yet.
