Hi Everybody!
We are going to have a family reunion very soon and some of us will be traveling with our babies, about 6 months old.
I can't remember where I heard or read about baby food.
Do HAL provide you with Gerber style food for the babies or should we carry our own?
Thanks for your time. Best Regards.

I remember reading here about HAL providing diapers and baby food with advance notice. You probably want to review the prices of these things before deciding whether to bring your own.
You might begin by calling Ships Services: 800-541-1576

I would suggest to brign your own - if you have the time you can stop by the market before you board the ship, this way you can save some luggage weight too. Another thing is if your baby is picky then it's best to stick with what he/she's been eating. I understand the pricing on those food/diaper are quite steep...

If your babies are about 6 months old, but not yet 6 months old on the day you board the ship they will not be allowed to board unless you make advanced arrangements.
Call ships services to see what will be required. With most cruise lines its a signed letter from the babys doctor stating the baby is fit to travel. There is a time limit as to how long it is between the doctors check up and the date of departure. They may also request that you sign a release form saying that you understand that the cruise line is not prepared to handle medical emergencies on very young children and are therefore not responsible for any medical emergencies that the baby may have during the cruise. You also should ask if the signatures need to be notarized. The 6 month age requirements applies to cruise originating or ending in the US. Transatlantic crossings and European cruise have a 12 month age requirement.
The easiest way to find out if the baby is too young to sail is to fill in their emigration information form. If the birthday is too close to the sailing date you wont be able to complete the process. You cant fake the date because the babys birth certificate or pass port will be required to board.

Thanks to you all for your answers.
I forgot to mention she is 6 months now. By the time we travel she'll be 8 months old.
Best Regards.

I've made an effort to find where your longitude and latitude are. Want to help, please? I haven't been able to find a decent site on google to help.

Dear sail7seas:
Finally, after years and years of posting in various message boards with the same location (latitude-longitude) someone shows interest!!
Thank you very much!
I live in Leon, Mexico. Right in the center of the country, very close to San Miguel de Allende.
Best Regards.

What a beautiful place to live!!!!!!!!
We traveled with our 12 month old great niece and did not have any problems with food. There was always fruits, vegetables, and other items that could be "mushed up." I know 8 months to 11 months is a huge difference but I would imagine your dining room staff will be more than happy to make sure things are pureed or blended. Another option would be to take a very small blender, like the magic bullet, and puree meats, fish, chicken, and vegetables in your room. I know others will be horrified at this suggestion but your infant will be getting fresh food and you will not have to pack the containers of baby food. The two things we did buy and pack for Savannah were diapers and formula. We just bought a huge package of diapers at the store near port, put a luggage tag on it, and it was delivered along with our luggage.
Have a great time. Cherie

I agree wholeheartedly with Cherie about bringing a mini blender/grinder/food mill. That way you don't have to worry about bringing/buying baby food, and you know the food will be fresh and tasty. You can do fruits, veggies, meats, etc. And I am sure they probably have juices on board, if your baby drinks that. And they probably have a variety of hot cereals available for breakfast.
Good luck, and enjoy your cruise! :-)

You have to download and install the application but you will be able to use it to see literally any place on earth.

I never thought about bringing a small blender with us but is such a wonderful idea!!
Our beloved daughter, since she is still very young, only eats vegetables and fruits.
Thanks a lot for your help and time.

You must order your food 1 month before you cruise or they charge $10 for late order.there is special form you can fax to them(call and ask ,they email it to me) .they provide food, formula, dipers, water by galon!much cheaper than by bottlemy advise bring your own mjust order water.
