We are preparing to take our first Regent cruise this month and very much looking forward to it. We have not yet been able to access the dinner reservations on line for Signatures and Prime 7. Is it possible to make these reservations by calling Regent directly, or can this only be done online previous to the cruise? Thank you for any response.

This month being April? Online restaurant reservations close I believe 7 days prior. Are you within that period?
In any case, I wouldn't worry about it, just see the maitre'd when you board and they will fix you up.

Sorry to hear you're having problems reserving online. We haven't seen many reports of people not being able to access the online reservations since the early glitches with the web booking system got ironed out more than a month ago. (The exception: people booked on multiple cruise segments back to back, which apparently continues to be problematic.) If you're more than 7 days from departure, I'd say to try to give Regent a call to see if they will put your reservation into the system -- the worst they can do is say no! ;) But if you can get it taken care of, it's one less detail to worry about, and one less thing to rush to do on your first afternoon onboard. If not, as Wendy says, don't sweat it at all. (But do make sure to do it onboard the first afternoon; Prime 7 is quite new and by all reports quite popular, so it may fill up faster than the specialty restaurants typically have on Regent ships.)
Enjoy your first Regent cruise! Hopefully you'll love it as much as many of us on this board have.

We've always made the reservations after we've gotten on board, as part of the boarding process. This works fine, unless there's only one particular night you can do it.
On our upcoming cruise, there's only one port day that would be inconvenient for us in terms of dinner reservations, so we'll narrow it down to the other six.

Sorry to hear that you have not been able to make dinner reservations. Have you been able to access your booking on the Regent website?
In any event, Prime 7 is extremely popular so I'd recommend taking care of that reservation as soon as you get on board the ship. Signatures reservations are a bit easier to get.

Thank you all so much. I'll just take care of it right after we board.
