many cruises

We are considering a New Years cruise on the Eurodam. For those of you who have sailed on this ship, we'd love to hear all about it. How was the food, service, and entertainment? We sailed on the Westerdam a few years ago and were quite disappointed in the food. Last year, we sailed on the Maasdam and had a totally different experience...the food, service, and the entertainment were wonderful. The Eurodam looks beautiful from the pictures online. Please share your thoughts! :)

We did the reposition on her last summer and we are going to do it again this year.
It is a large ship but the way it is laid out it does not appear that large when you walk around it.
The food was good and the Tmarin Restaurant was excellent. We ate there twice and enjoyed it both times.
We wrote a review in which we covered the good and bad points of the ship and the cruise

The ship had not found its personality yet and hopefully this summer it will have hit its stride.

[B]We love Maasdam and Noordam and expected to find Eurodam 'less' than those two ships. We were pleasantly surprised to really enjoy our two weeks on her in March.
The food was excellent. Chef Rober Schumann was aboard and dining room and Lido were outstanding in our opinion. We never had a bad meal. The choices in Lido were amazing.
Ship is beautiful with terrific crew. Spotlessly clean; lots of beautiful flowers; interesting art; excellent alternative restaurants etc
One thing that disappointed us was less teak and more compostion on decks and verandas. We love teak on our balcony on Maasdam... Our veranda on Eurodam was comfortable and fine and we enjoyed it but missed the teak.
We think the ship well designed and easy to get around. It is bigger than it feels.
Tamarind and Silk Den are fabulous. We loved the bar in Explorers Lounge. No other Explorers on other HAL ships have a bar.
We very much enjoyed 'almost' everything and everyone on Eurodam.
