Hi All
I'm thinking about going on a cruise by myself a year from now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid the single supplement (besides sharing the cabin with a stranger)? Does HAL ever offer to waive the single supplement?
Thanks!

I've cruised solo on HAL several times in the last few years and have never found any way to avoid the single supplement without using the share program. :(
If you find a way I'd love to know. :)

The only ship in Hal is the Princedam. There are a very few singles cabins, all inside and bad spots. Otherwise you are ___.

I went solo for the 1st time this past September, had to pay the single supplement. But atleast with HAL it is less than 150%. Celebrity generally charges 200%.
I am going solo next September 10th on the Zaandam to Alaska. Where are you going?

Sometimes Crystal offers good sgl supplements. Like only 25%. Currently for a cruise in Dec there is a premium of only 5% on one 10 day cruise.
