Hi all, me again.
SOOO excited to see that horseback riding is now offered on HMC! :D
I have a few questions....big suprise, eh?

- Zuiderdam soda -coke or pepsi (i might die if its pepsi)
-Windstar cafe -frappachinos?
-Is it true that you can leave the ship whenever you want if you carry your own bags off, after you have reached the last port of course. I had heard somewhere that all bags had to be handled by the ship because of customs stuff
-any tips for space saving/me not being driven insane by the other 3 people in my catagory C cabin?

thanks again all :)

It's Coke and I'm with you about dying if it were pepsi. YUCK!

-Windstar cafe -frappachinos?

They have a bit of everything in the Windstar but not sure about this one. Their strawberry smoothies are fantastic. :)

I have never heard of this happening. All bags are put outside the cabin door before midnight on the last day and picked up by the stewards for packing down in a secure area til you dock the next day.

Hmmm this is a toughie! Good luck!

There are one or two cruise lines that do this, but not Hal.

Carnival allows pax to carry off their own bags and they can leave when disembarkation has begun. I am sure Customs must have their dogs 'check' those bags as they are carried off.

The luggage that is all loaded into the terminal building is all 'sniffed' before we start disembarking and claiming our own bags.

Just try not to do everything together. Schedule activities at different times so people get some time on their own. Two people get dressed earlier and spend pre-dinner time in a bar or lounge; other two plan an after-dinner activity. Of course it depends somewhat on the relationships, ages, and sexes.

For example when my DH and I cruised with my mom, he would get up early and jog around the deck while we dressed and planned our day; when he came back Mom would order breakfast in the cabin while we went to the dining room. Sometimes he and I took one excursion and she took a less-active one. In the islands, he dived, she shopped; I enjoyed an outdoor bar and people watching. In one Alaska port Mom and he took a heli-tour of the glacier; I took the bus.
