We have been on Zui twice already, really enjoyed it and want to go again.Have been in an A and an SS. Now with 3 people, I'm trying to figure the best cabin. Has anyone been in S5187, aft cabin? Have never been in an aft, but heard good things. I am interested in hearing about the cabin. Does anyone know where I can see some pics of the aft cabins? Are there any noise issues with the engine or extra vibrations? Is it big enough for 3 people?
thanks

We just did B2B IN 4180,If you like balconies its a must. The cabin is a little smaller than the side one,but the balcony is probably 4 times bigger,it was GREAT.There is a little vibration.I hardly noticed it but some may.The view off the back is awesome and it wraps around the side.We also had 2 cushioned loungers,2 wicker chairs with ottomens, and a table with 4 chairs. And that didnt take up half our balcony. We were in cabin 6158, exact same balcony but our suite was
a little smaller. There is a foldout sofa that our 3rd pssngr used.
The balcony was a L shaped wraparound. If memory serves me
correctly, the balcony was appx.14 feet from your door and
about 22 feet wide and 26 feet down the side. It was the most
awsome balcony. Always had both sun or shade down the other
side. It was gloriously open for all about to "look down on you."
When we ever looked up others would just wave and we'd wave
back. Had very little litter from the lido deck. Felt like royalty
with that balcony. It had a 4' square table with 4 chairs, 2 lounge
chairs, and 2 other chairs. You could easily host a party out
there. Would jump at the chance for an aft "S" suite anytime.

We've been on the Zuiderdam 3 times so far and we've always had S Suites on the aft with wraparound balconies. We've been in S7133,S5186 and S5187 and we'll be in S5187 again in three weeks. Guess we must like them. No engine noise. Never had bad vibrations yet some vibrations but thats to be expected your on a ship. We had our grandson with us in 5187 in Feb and was plenty big. 5186 and 5187 are the biggest aft s suites about 360 sq. ft. compared to about 395 sq ft on the sides. As Tom said the view is great back there you not only have a view facing the back you also have a side view because of the wraparound part of your balcony. Even though we've had these cabins 3 times I'm still amazed at the size of the balcony. Hope this helps. Bob

I too booked an aft suite and have been looking here there and everywhere for information and pics on the aft suites. This site is so cool, I'm hooked. I found this picture, (Whoever posted it THANK YOU and great picture), but I can't remember who/where I found it.
Hopefully I won't get scolded at for passing it along. I'm sure I made a wise choice in getting an aft suite.

Whiskeyman,

Thanks for posting that picture. It's the best I have seen yet. I was able to get a great view of the balcony of the suite we'll be sailing on in December.

Whiskeyman, Thanks so much for posting that photo. We will be in 5187 on the Oosterdam in October 2005, we have friends that will have the cabin below us on the 4th floor. We will be on the Westerdam in March and ended up deciding to get a SS we will be in SS 6077.
This is really the best photo I have seen to get a good look at the aft.:D

Thanks,

We are looking at the Westerdam for a March, 2005 cruise. I have found 2 SS cabins available, but they are the handicapped accessible ones on the STERN of the ship. From what I can tell, the verandah looks huge, but I'm not sure what it would be like to be all the way in the FRONT. Does anyone have any experience with this class of cabin in the STERN of the boat? Wonder if the motion would kill us??

Thanks for everyone's help!
