View Full Version : Confused over a review...

Hello,
I found a review from 2001 on a different cruise website and this is a part of it:
The only suggestion that we could make to Seabourn to improve anything on the Legend would be to
return to the all inclusive policy which does not require either the staff or passengers to bother with
'signing' for drinks throughout the ship. It is just an anoyance that is inappropriate for a ship of this
quality.
I thought Seabourn was all-inclusive? Was this an attempt back in 2001 or am I misinformed completely?

All that is in the past -- they tried it for a while in 2001 but went back to it in fall of 2001. We were on board right after they reverted to the inclusive policy and one of the crew tried to charge us for a glass of champagne. Don't worry -- no chits to sign for 99% of what you drink.

In November of last year the Legend was all-inclusive. Did not sign for anything.

Seabourn went back to all-inclusive (after a brief period) in 2000. The reviewer was not timely, to say the least..

OK, I may have to take my last statement back. Iwas on Legend October 2001, and everything was all inclusive. Was on, what was, Seabourn Goddess II (Now Seadream II) in 1999, and that was NOT all-inclusive.
Anyone remember exactly when they went back to all inclusive? Cruisecrazyone maybe?
Radisson tried all-inclusive for a few sailings a couple of summers ago. I was on one, and they had alot to learn!

Dan~~I think in Dec. of 2000, it was all-inclusive. Then in May of 2001 it was "pay for your drinks time".......then when I was back on in Nov./Dec. of 2001, it was back to all-inclusive.
I think this is right......

It must have been late August or early Spet 2001 because we were on Spirit on Sept 17 for two weeks in the Med and the crew was still adjusting to back to all inclusive --we only were charged for that one aforementioned glass of champagne which we decided not to dipute.
