Friends:
I went to Kroooz-cams today and I got to Juneau and there is a ship docked at Juneau on this third day of May in 2009. It is an "X" ship but it does tell us that the Alaska season is now underway. It will run through very late September. Today it is currently 57degrees above 0 in Juneau. Hope all of you get to Alaska this summer.

Excellent! It looks to be raining a bit in Juneau. I've got one more year to go. I'll be super fired-up when you post this next year.

I have to wait until 2010 too. I had a son's wedding last weekend and my daughter's baby is due in 4 weeks.
But I'll be on board the Amsterdam next year enjoying the new 14 day itinerary :D

I just checked out the Juneau webcam and there doesn't seem to be any snow on the mountains. They must have had a mild winter this year?
It is exciting to see the season start and I love watching the port cams :D

Yesterday it was 73 degrees in Juneau and 75 in Skagway -- 54 in Seward. We go in 2 weeks. Wanna bet there'll be rain?

Yippee!! We'll be there in less than 4 weeks! Sadly, it won't be a HAL cruise, and I just learned that we'll be docked right next to the Amsterdam (my first love) in Seattle. :::Sigh::: :rolleyes:

My FIL and SO leave next week on the StDam...I am so jealous. I hope they have a Roarrrrrring grrrrreat time!

We leave on the 21st of June. We can't wait. I hope the weather is decent. It will be a nice change from the hot summers in Florida.

Glad to hear it. I'll be leaving on the Statendam next Sunday and have been hoping that it will be warmer (& dryer) up there than it is down here in Colorado! :p

My experience tells me that if one is going to be experiencing nice weather in Alaska, the best bet is in May or June.

We'll be on the Ryndam on June 5th, for 14 days to Alaska. I can hardly wait!

I'm going in August! It's my first cruise and I'm soooo excited.
Get me even more riled up. Tell me your favourite Alaska experiences. We'll be on the Volendam.
