I noticed in a posting the mention of Freedom Tours and Travel. They didn't say what the cost was per person. Just wondering if any one knows.

Also are there any other good private tour companies that I should look into?

We will be there on July 1, 2009 on the Carnival Triumphe.
Thanks a lot

Just as an FYI, July 1 is like our July 4th is for you, so most things are closed. The touristy areas will still be open, but the bulk of the shopping, except the markets right near the pier, will be closed.

You could try Aquila Tours. They are a very reputable local company.

In 2006 we were on the Carnival Victory for the 7 day Canada/New England. In Saint John we did a neat photography tour. We were at the reversing falls two times to see the difference in the tides. This was a Carnival sponsored excursion.

I should also mention that you should take pictures of the ship at the pier when you get off, and again when you reboard a few hours later. We were only off the ship for 4 hours or so but when we got back, they had moved the gangway down a deck since the tide had risen quite a bit in that time.
