Is the cork fee of $18, per bottle or per time you bring it to the restaurant.

We enjoyed a 1.5 L and a 750 bottle in the dining room on Eurodam last month and were not charged. I guess somewhat at the whim of your wine steward.

How did you arrange that, I never bring a bottle before so this is the first time for us.

If you recieve a bottle of complementary champigne in your cabin there is no corkage fee in the main dinning room. I always slip the fellow a nice tip for the service anyway.

If you bring your wine to the dining room and are charged the $18 corage fee but do not finish the wine that night, the steward is happy to hold it for you and deliver it to your table the next night for you to finish. There would be no additional fee for that service.

We did nothing! We were in a suite so once we were on board, we took the 2 bottles to the consierge in the Neptune Lounge and she sent them to the dining room. That first evening the wine steward said he had them and which did we want that night. He never mentioned the corkage fee or asked for our card so he could charge us for it. Nothing appeared on our final bill. Last year on the Maasdam we were charged. Guess it just depends on whether they run the charge through which perhaps is related to how busy they are or I'd prefer to think it indicates how charming you are to your wine steward

There is no fee if it is for wine purchased on the ship or through a package. Sometimes they do not charge but mostly they do if you bring wine on board.

We had a happy hour in our room with the wine we purchased and took the wine we bought through the ship to dinner.

We have received quite a few bottles of wine in our cabin as gifts -- never once have we been charged a corkage fee for them in the dining room.

We did have an incident one cruise when we took a bottle over to the conceirge in the morning and asked for it to be deliverred to the dining room that evening. When we got to the dining room -- our bar server (no longer called wine stewards) knew nothing about it. DH went up to the Neptune Lounge -- our bottle was still sitting there on the back counter. He asked for it and brought it down to the dining room himself.

We had our wine steward open 6 bottles of wine on six different nights that we brought. He never charged us at all!:D
