Hi!
We are looking to cruise on the new Westerdam next fall and noticed we could choose between the upper and lower level in the dining room for the early seating. Is one more desirable than the other? Thanks!

THey dine at different times - 5:45 and 6:15. Late dining is 8 and 8:30

Besides the dining times it also depends on your personal preferences. If I am at a table of 6 or more then I would prefer to be downstairs aft. If I wanted a table for 2 then I would like to be on the upper deck next to the railing.

Upper level for us - love sitting by the rail and watching everything below - even if they come a half hour after we do.

If I ever go on a Vista Class ship again I will try for the upper level.
We were on the Oosterdam last summer and although I thought the ship was beautiful the lower level of the dining room was very noisy. Compared to the other HAL ships I thought that the tables were smaller and closer together. We were at a table for 6 and it was difficult to make conversation.
