A hort while ago I saw a thread that mentioned a discount if you use the amex card to book a cruise with HAL. I can't find this old thread and the # that I gave my TA "promo 45" was not found by him. Can anyone help identify this promo?

It isn't a Promo. It is a regular benefit of being an AmEx Platinum Member and using that card to pay for deposit and final payment on your cruise.
(The thread will explain to you that it pertains to the AmEx Platinum Card that bears a yearly membership fee of $375 or thereabouts.)

According to another poster there is a promo number used for it.
I contacted my TA and she called Amex. Promo 41 is the basic Amex Platinum benefit package: suite shipboard credit, champagne and first night at the Pinnacle.

It is the American Express Platinum.
We have gotten serveral years "fees" back just in one year alone with all the shipboard credits.

We've used the AmEx Platinum benefit on at least 55+ cruises including some on cruiselines other than HAL and when we are not using AmEx Platinum Travel (which we no longer do but once did) our regular TA calls Platinum and gets a tracking number. That tracking number is given to HAL. We get the on board credit (most of the time). No Promo numbers used for this benefit.
