I am sure that a great many of you have used laptops and netbooks onboard ship and I am looking for some help. My husband got me a new laptop to take on my cruise and I am not sure how to use it. I know I will have to pay a conect fee and purchase a package. I would like to download my e-mail from my server and read them off line. I know that there is someway to compose e-mails off line and then send them. I have always composed and sent e-mails on line. thanks so much for any help. mb

You then disconnect and read/write everything off-line, and re-connect to send all that you've written.
Some people use a program such as Word to write text files off-line and then copy-and-paste that once on-line, but that uses more on-line time, and can't be used to read incoming mail off-line.
