Hi,
We're booked on the Volendam in october, and one of the ports is Bejiing. Is there a more economical way to visit and stay for 2 days than using the ship's tour for $800 pp? If so, what hotels do you recommend, and what tour company? We have a party of 4. Also, we'll be staying in Tokyo
for 3 days prior to sailing from Kobe. Does the bullet train travel to Kobe?

If it isn't too late to edit you post, I would change the title of the thread to something like Volendam/Bejiing.

Click on edit under your post.
When that screen appears, hit edit again so you can change the title.

That will attract more people to your thread.
You also should think of posting it on the Ports of Call Board.
