I was just reading my latest "Taste of Home" magazine and my eyes were drawn to an ad that featured a HAL ship! There will be cooking demonstrations by Taste of Home on 5 different cruises in June, Aug and Sept.
Has anyone been on a cruise with them before? Sail 7 Seas, have you heard of this on "your" Maasdam? :)

No. I haven't heard of it but it sounds wonderful. What dates in June will they be aboard Maasdam? We are there for two weeks in June and I'd love to see one of their demonstrations.

Sail, you were the first person I thought of when I saw the ad. :D
Unfortunately the ad only gives a couple of the dates (Aug. 29 and Sept. 9). I wonder if you contacted HAL if they could tell you the date(s) in June? I hope it will be when you're onboard!
The ad is actually for a tour company and that's all the info they give without contacting them.

Usually, you'll find that all group activities (i.e. cooking demonstrations) are limited to those who are part of the group. After all, they are the ones paying for them.

I would love to know as well. Are these for 2010 or now? I thought Sail that you were going next year. Maybe I am mistaken.

The dates are for 2009. But as Mary Ellen pointed out, it would be limited to those booked with the tour. :(

:) We are going to be aboard for the August 29 cruise (in addition to the June ones) and I definitely intend to "look into" this. Maybe they'll let me stand in the back of the room and listen.
I'll post here if I get so lucky and tell all about the presentation.
