  1. In a few posts that mentioned purchasing the HIA onboard, it looked to be $65/pp/pd (so $10 pd increase). Not 100% certain though.
  2. @Iamthesea.... they need to "magically" offer you a damn Vista suite at NO additional cost to you, period! They have some available, and HAL frankly needs to compensate for this error. 😲
  3. I am MORE than familiar with the boarding process, thank you! 🫢
  4. I received this same email for our Noordam May 5th sailing from Vancouver, again stating "several ships in port" (its just us and the Nieuw Amsterdam!) I'm not sure how effective this will be, since 4*,5*,CO, and suites all have priority. We shall see...
  5. Yes, HIA can be added later... call your TA or HAL directly. You'll want to add it before you sail, as it's more $ once onboard.
  6. The videos are fine... crisp and clear. And, do not stop, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Continue with this review right up until you step on the ship in Feb 2025, then you can start a brand new one. 😂
  7. The boarding pass is scannable from the app... it's just that some ports may have sketchy wifi, or some folks may not be adept at app-ing on the fly. The answer is: wait for the darn bar code to show up and take a screen shot. Done.
  8. You don't mention what time you land at YVR, or your transportation to Canada Place, or your nationality, or your sailing time. So.... here's my general advice: allow at least an hour at YVR to clear immigration and get your luggage. Allow at least 35-45 minutes to get downtown (either taxi or skytrain). If you find a porter and drop your bags at Canada Place, plan on 1-2 hrs (when you return) to get thru check in, security, and US immigration. You must be onboard 90 prior to sailing. You do the math...
  9. @crystalspin... is one of those happy ladies you?!⬆️ OP: Glacier Bay is awesome, Mendenhall is nice, but not particularly exciting.
  10. HAL could EASILY fix the boarding pass barcode situation with an IT tweak. This has caused SO MUCH confusion on roll calls and group sites, and unfortunately, their port agents pay the price! 😲
  11. Call it what you will, but it works. Even if the actual conversation rate (those who keep vs cancel) is 50% or higher, HAL will eventually fill those berths. I jumped on the $1 offer and will watch for any future low deposits.
  12. Every single evening?? From 4-9pm?? When, pray tell, are these folks planning to dine?!
  13. We are on this same cruise. When you enter CP from the street level, the signage is really clear for luggage dropoff...that should not be a problem. Have your luggage tags on, drop and go. Yes, the marathon will be going on, but the finish is several blocks over. There will be lots of surrounding activity, but perhaps walk around and find some dining places...
  14. I too, am genuinely glad that you did your due diligence on these cabins. Their location is not even ideal (high and forward = more motion) and the balcony is much smaller than regular verandahs. And yes, the few "inclusions" do not warrant the higher price, BUT, they are still MUCH less expensive than an AQ on X.
