Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I work remotely from the ship without too much issue, besides the obvious purchase of the internet package, connect with your tech team to find out any security changes they may need to make, specifically related to authentication while signing in. Other than that you will need to figure out where you have best connectivity. Sometimes the room is fine and other times it is better in a public space. I always give my contacts a heads up that I am remote from a ship and may have issues typically not experienced shoreside. Finally watch the time variations so you connect at the right time. Hope that helps.
  2. It has been hit or miss for us. Seems like during prime time spring break and holidays we have seen it enforced more but not consistently, also in San Juan last time they were checking and staging based on time. I'm not sure there is a rhyme or reason, seems variable and without discernable pattern for us. We always try to get there as early as we can and roll the dice.
  3. We have done both. I used to prefer booking direct, but now it is not as easy to get a dedicated agent to handle everything. I think TA's are valuable in their experiences and tips as they have a wide resource network and if they know you well enough may provide more information that is personally applicable to you and your cruising style. Either way your going on vacation so it's a win-win in my eyes.
  4. We have done the Boardwalk's on a couple of occasions. Further back will get you better views of the aqua theater and ocean. Farther forward will will be harder to see other than the boardwalk itself. We had no issue with noise. You have to go with what you are comfortable with, financially. If you are like us, you will enjoy regardless.
  5. Just off the ship on Sunday. When we boarded they were checking times and staging people accordingly in roped sections by check in time.. Boarding started about 11:30. We had The Key and we’re on very quickly.
  6. Just off Voyager. Lots of people we dressed up for the formal nights. I was surprised as I felt it was a higher level of participation than other cruises in the past few years. Overall there are always some dressed to the 9's and others not. Last week was no different.
