Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I have a "group" leader and she is on top of stuff like this. I will touch base with her, they have done hundreds. Thank you!
  2. Do they notify you or you need to check regularly?
  3. Day of. Currently scheduled to land at 7:30 Delta
  4. Flying in day of. Delta non stop, arrival 7:30 am
  5. I am so happy to hear that! Was it a long wait for the bus to be filled, do you recall? I am getting in at 7:30 am.
  6. One person. I would reserve transport in advance of course, don't want to end up with an off brand transport. Traveling solo I am cautious, maybe overly so. Thank you!
  7. I saw some prices one person over 300.00 private car. My flight gets in at 7:30 am. I am thinking most flights are overnight and many ship goers. I would not want to be waiting for more than a hour but I imagine it is a popular choice for cruisers and would fill up fairly quickly.
  8. I see on NCL you are able to purchase transfers from LHR to the ship for 75 dollars. That is a big savings over private car. Has anyone used this option thru NCL? Is it chartered or one of the National bus lines? Thank you for any info you may have.
  9. I would love to take an extended cruise if my cat could stay in my cabin😎
  10. Hey how was the Scotland trip!! I am on that trip September 2023. I see it is sold out. I didn't realize there are 180 guests, I am so used to the river boat size crowds. I am traveling solo as usual, what was the passenger mix in general. Food, tours?? I would appreciate your input! Thank you in advance. Sam
  11. Do as the locals do walking tour. Lunch at Quinta. Vineyard hike and tasting. Castelo Rodrigo, Guimares city tour. I skipped Salamarca it was 4 hours on bus. These were good picks but bear in mind it will be 100 degrees when you go. I didn't hear any negatives. Tested upon arrival and day before departure. The arrival was free departure I think was 60.00. I could be wrong on that. I had no bill leaving the ship but I had a 100.00 credit. You can test everywhere I booked a night at hotel for first night and went from there, you can board the ship early but rooms are no ready. Country club casual for dinner. I only took a carry on and a medium backpack. There is a little self serve laundry on the ship, very handy. I don't remember anything good on the dockside. Hang out on the Riberia side of the river than cab over to your ship. How do you intend to wander with suitcase? You could but Porto is like San Fran with the hills. You'll be 40 pounds lighter by days end. Any other questions, fire away..ps no sundries for sale on board, so don't look for aspirin or pepto or any "emergency items". The shower is going to make you crazy, you'll understand when you get there. I look forward to your "review"!!
